When is a custom store worth it?

How long does a custom store take?
Longer than a platform set-up, which is why we build in stages. A first version that takes orders comes early; the more complex rules follow. The timescale is in the quote.
Who owns and hosts it?
You own the code. We host and monitor it on a support plan, or hand it to your own team, whichever you prefer.
